CAward-winning Serena Z was chosen Presidential Scholar at Berklee College of Music, where she got her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance. Serena began Suzuki violin lessons at the age of four, quickly advancing through the program to audition for world renown pedagogue Almita Vamos at age 10. She was accepted to the prestigious Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago at Ravinia where she continued her studies through high school. Serena played in rock and bluegrass bands, metal ensembles, country bands, and studied voice, flute, and viola all throughout her Berklee Career. Her many awards include National YoungArts Winner, Fischoff National Chamber Competition Silver-medalist, Soloist with John Legend for Berklee’s 2020 Commencement… and many more. She has appeared on a number of projects including Seven Spires Emerald Seas, Moving Paintings Moments of Our Own, various works for Aveya, and much more. Serena Z is a multi-faceted in-demand performing musician who has released a number of singles and a 4-track EP titled Absence of Color.
