Rye Jackson
Schedule: Mon | Tue | Wed
Rye is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and performing artist who has spent most of his life trying to unlock his own creative potential as well as that of those around him. He has 15+ years of experience playing bass, drums/percussion, and guitar and 10+ years of piano and high-level vocal experience.

Growing up in Binghamton, NY, Rye spent his free time either practicing for various school ensembles and bands (select chorus, jazz choir, acapella, wind ensemble, marching band, jazz band, etc.), or experimenting with old recording equipment in his basement, playing whatever musical instruments he could get his hands on. Throughout college, he began playing professionally in various pit orchestras for theatres across Upstate New York and acted as music director/composer for an award-winning dance troupe. He also toured extensively with his own bands during this time and really honed his improvisational and songwriting/arranging skills.

These diverse and varied experiences have led Rye’s approach to education to be based on versatility, flexibility and creative drive. He finds that each individual has their own musical path to follow and believes that as an educator, it’s his mission to help each student find and shape that path for themselves.

Since moving to Nashville in 2019, Rye has quickly built a robust network of musicians to play with and has joined numerous acclaimed artists both in the studio and on the road, playing shows from coast to coast. He has also released his own original music in collaboration with some of these artists.

Currently Rye sings with the GRAMMY award-winning Nashville Symphony, is working on scoring his first feature-length film, and spends most weekends either on the road or playing bass for The Infinity Fellowship.
