PIANO | Voice
Jillian ShivelySchedule: Wed | Sat
Jillian continued to study classical piano for another 10 years. At the same time, she was an active singer/songwriter performing at various local venues in Colorado. Possessing a strong love for both performing and writing music, Jillian continued her education at the University of Northern Colorado where she studied film scoring composition, vocal jazz, and music technology and production. She received three DownBeat awards during her college career and earned opportunities to perform with several notable musicians, including Sarah Brightman (of The Phantom of the Opera), and Larry Braggs (of Tower of Power). Her love of various genres and avenues of music has taken her in many directions— from writing pieces for symphonic orchestra, to becoming the lead singer of a funk band, to pursuing musical voice acting.
While pursuing a career in music, Jillian discovered a deep passion for teaching music to others. Whether you just want to try something new, or want to pursue a career in music, Jillian will help you reach your goals through lessons tailored to your individual learning style.
She truly believes that every student learns differently, and everyone deserves to learn music in a fun and encouraging way. She can’t wait to be a part of your musical journey!
