Jeff started his journey in music by inheriting his Grandfather’s guitar after his passing when Jeff was only ten years old, and he has been exploring ever since. After receiving a BS in Audio Production from the Art Institute of Seattle, Jeff worked as a freelance Audio Engineer in Seattle, WA working at many music venues and theatre houses. He then went back to receive a BFA in Musical Theatre from Central Washington University, which led him to New York City, where he began performing on Norwegian Cruise Lines in a high energy classic rock production until the beginning of the COVID era.
The world-wide shutdown caused him to pack up his studio and say goodbye to the ocean and hello to Music City!
Jeff now performs every weekend on Broadway in Nashville as Coyote Wayne, sharpening his skills every day playing and networking with some of the best musicians in Nashville- and the world!
Jeff’s enthusiasm for teaching is infectious, creating an atmosphere where learning becomes an exhilarating experience. His teaching style is both patient and encouraging, empowering students to unlock their full musical potential. From mastering the intricacies of song composition to perfecting vocal techniques or layin’ down the rumble of a bass guitar, Jeff’s expertise spans across various genres, including rock, classic rock, pop, pop/punk, grunge, musical theatre, blues, and SO many more.
Beyond technical proficiency, Jeff fosters a holistic approach to musicianship, emphasizing creativity, expression, and stage presence. As a mentor, he goes beyond the basics, nurturing a deep love for music while instilling discipline and dedication in his students. Jeff’s goal is to cultivate well-rounded musicians who not only excel in their instrument of choice but also thrive as confident performers and songwriters.
